As a writer I love bringing stories to life and seeing just where they take me. Sometimes I may write something and find that I cannot proceed further, so what I do is put that piece of writing aside and come back to it later. And coming back to it later does help as new ideas start to come to my head and things come together. It is ok to let a piece of writing sit for a while, unless there is a deadline by which the writing must be done. Then of course there is no choice but to force the writing. But forcing the writing is never a great thing. Besides the fact that it won't be enjoyed, it will probobably not turn out as great as it can be, as great as I want it to be.
Writing itself is a very creative and adventurous journey. I never know just where my mind and my words will take me, and how far the story will go. When I started writing my poetic tale Treasure, I never thought that it would be as long as it would be and that I would have enough pages to be able to publish it as a book. Part I of the story is done (turned out wonderfully I might add) and I am now working on Part II. To write a story in poetic form that spans pages and pages and also follows a specific rhyme scheme is of course a big project and a challenging one. And it is definitely working. This is my first long poetic tale and I am very proud of it and happy that I embarked on this journey to bring it to life. I can't wait to see just where Part II will take me and how it will unfold.
My book cover for this book is already done and it is very beautiful. So there is one less thing to worry about. And I like how the interior of the book looks as well, though maybe that might change a little.
I cannot say when I will be finished with the story in its entirety so I can finally publish it, but I will not rush it. Better to take my time if it means the story will be better.
I have shared what I have written so far with a few people and they have given my story positive feedback and praise. That is great news and definitely encourages me to keep on writing and bringing new ideas to life.
